- VARIETY OF USES - Mullein’s velvety leaves are often used to make a soothing herbal tea that can be enjoyed at any hour of the day. As an ingredient, mullein leaves are used in salves and poultices, as they have a soothing effect on the skin.
- HERBACEOUS BIENNIAL - Mullein is usually biennial, meaning it seeds in the second year then dies. The leaves are best harvested in the first year or spring of the second year, before the flowering stalk shoots up in the summer.
